Our Story

Tradivex was established in Bangkok to address a growing need among businesses engaged in international commerce: accessible, practical legal guidance that bridges regulatory frameworks across jurisdictions. Since our founding, we have focused on serving importers, exporters, manufacturers, and trading companies operating within Thailand's dynamic trade environment.

Our approach developed from observing the challenges faced by businesses dealing with customs regulations, international contract negotiations, and cross-border disputes. We recognized that many companies required legal support that was both technically sound and commercially aware. This understanding shaped our practice to emphasize clear communication, regulatory compliance, and practical solutions aligned with business objectives.

Based in Bangkok, we maintain close working relationships with Thai customs authorities, the Department of Foreign Trade, and relevant regulatory bodies. This positioning allows us to stay current with evolving trade policies, free trade agreement implementations, and changes in import-export regulations that affect our clients' operations.

Our mission centers on helping businesses conduct international trade with confidence. We provide advisory services that clarify regulatory requirements, structure commercial arrangements appropriately, and address disputes when they arise. Through this work, we aim to facilitate commerce while ensuring our clients remain compliant with applicable legal frameworks.

Our Expertise in International Trade Law

Our practice encompasses the legal frameworks governing international commerce through Thailand. This includes regulatory compliance for import and export activities, structuring of cross-border sales transactions, and resolution of trade-related disputes. We work with businesses across various sectors, from manufacturing to distribution, providing legal support tailored to their commercial activities.

In customs and trade compliance, we advise on tariff classification methodology under the Harmonized System, import licensing requirements for restricted goods categories, valuation procedures for customs duty assessment, and preferential tariff treatment under applicable free trade agreements. Our clients include companies seeking to establish compliant import processes, address customs audits, or optimize duty structures through proper classification and origin determination.

For international sales contracts, we draft and negotiate agreements incorporating appropriate Incoterms provisions, payment security mechanisms, quality control frameworks, and dispute resolution procedures. This work involves analysis of applicable law under conflict of law principles, consideration of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods where relevant, and structuring of terms that balance commercial objectives with legal enforceability.

When trade disputes arise, we represent clients before customs authorities, administrative tribunals, and courts in Thailand. This includes challenges to customs valuations, defenses against anti-dumping allegations, appeals of import surcharges, and commercial litigation arising from international transactions. Where appropriate, we coordinate with arbitration proceedings under ICC or UNCITRAL rules for cross-border commercial disputes.

Our location in Bangkok positions us to serve clients engaged in Thailand's extensive trade relationships throughout Asia and globally. We maintain awareness of trade policy developments affecting Thai businesses, including free trade agreement negotiations, regulatory amendments, and customs procedure updates. This knowledge base informs our advisory work and helps clients adapt to evolving requirements.
